God hears us when we cry.  In this week’s sermon, we learn about how God heard Ishmael crying as a baby and comforted his mother Hagar, while also honouring a promise made to Abraham about Ishmael.  Pastor Lou also shows us that God’s promises and blessings apply to both the child of promise (Isaac) and son of flesh (Ishmael). We also learn that we have the option to live as children of promise or children of flesh.
