Passage: Matthew 28:1-10
Service Type:

Bible Text: Matthew 28:1-10 | Preacher: Rev. Dr. Lou Saldiveri | Series: Sunday Morning Worship | “Shout the Good News!” Matthew 28:1-10
Intro: Easter and Christmas ought to be reminders to Christ followers to remember that we have been entrusted with the greatest news of all: Christ was born into this world; died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sin and yours once for all; and three days later, rose again from the dead conquering sin, death, and Satan. In short, He is risen and He is alive!

The fact that Christ is risen gives us a sure hope in this life. His resurrection is the Father’s validation on the perfect, unblemished sacrifice of Jesus for the payment for our sin past, present, and future. By God’s grace through faith and repentance, you and I can know new life in Christ, new purpose in Christ, and have the assurance of an eternal home with Him in heaven when He calls us home.

Matthew 28:1-10 gives us some great encouragements for today and every day.

1. News of the Risen Christ Brings Us Hope
2. News of the Risen Christ Means We Can Trust God and His Promises
3. News of the Risen Christ Needs to Be Shared

Closing: So church, can we shout the Good News in a loving way to a world that needs good news? The best way we can proclaim that Jesus is alive is by our lives. Our we loving one another like Jesus loved? Are we loving the Lord with all of our heart, soul, and strength? People need to see the gospel in action,
