Revive and Renew!
Bible Text: Samuel 11 | Preacher: Rev. Dr. Lou Saldiveri | Series: Sunday Morning Worship | — Pastor Lou’s Notes —
Intro: Historically and generally speaking, the human race has very short memories when it comes to God. So many times, we have forgotten and neglected the lessons of history and the Bible. Generally speaking, we seem to be no different. Many of us know the history of God’s grace and miracles in our own lives and in the Bible, yet we seem to forget fast and revert back to selfish, old patterns. There are two issues in view here. First, we battle a sin nature that still wants to glorify ourselves with out regard of God’s will. Second, we are quicker to believe a lie than to trust the truth of God. Both issues have their roots in sinful selfish pride and ego.
In this passage, God wants to tell us again how important it is for us to continually let Him revive us and renew our walk with Him. So, look at the insights God gives to us this morning about how to live life and finish well for His glory.
