Intro: The Third Person of the Trinity is the Holy Spirit. I believe that He is probably the least understood Person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit’s ministry is multifaceted. This morning, I invite you to explore what the Nicene Creed declares about the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the Lord
1.
Fully God
2.
Desire us to yield to Him
3.
He guides us into all truth: John 16:13; 2 Tim. 3:16
4.
He will guide the Christ follower: Romans 8
5.
God continues to reveal Himself through creation and the ministry of the Holy Spirit e.g. Psalm 19
2.
The Holy Spirit is the Giver of Life
1.
He is equal to God the Father and God the Son in every way
2.
He is the one who convicts hearts of sin and is able to open them to exercise faith in Christ: 1 Corinthians 12:3
3.
His is the life, power, advocate, comforter, and teacher, of the believer: John 14:26; 16-17; 16:13-15

He is able to transform hearts to be more like Christ from the inside out: Romans 8

Sanctification: Lev. 11:44

He gives the Christ follower assurance: Romans 8:23; Eph. 1:13

The Holy Spirit Proceeds from the Father and the Son
