Live By Faith
Bible Text: 1 Samuel 14 | Preacher: Rev. Dr. Lou Saldiveri | Series: Sunday Morning Worship | — Pastor Lou’s Notes —
Intro: In this passage, God gives us insight into what it means to live by faith. Whether we realize it or not, we all exercise faith each and every day. We are presented in this passage with the contrast of two opposite styles of living. Saul represents someone who ultimately has faith in his pride and ego. His son, Jonathan, represents someone who lives by faith in the promises of God.
In this passage, bot Jonathan and Saul are facing a big challenge. In this case, this challenge happens to be military. however, I would like to suggest that the principles God gives to us in this passage apply to any challenge you and I may face.
