Intro: For Christ followers, our contentment depends upon understanding God’s sovereignty and providence.  I believe a good definition of God’s sovereignty is that He is supreme above all else, is all powerful, has the right to rule His creation. I believe a good biblical definition of God’s providence is the manner in which He rules and direct His creation, including mankind. our cultural worldview tries to look for answer to issues of life. The problem is that a cultural worldview who disregards the God of the Bible will always come up with the wrong answers. A biblical worldview has an understanding of the sovereignty and providence of God.

Isn’t it true that we face very tough issues of life for which we are perplexed? We want answers, but sometimes, there is no obvious answer for a human point of view. As difficult as these issues may be, the only thing you and I can do as Christ followers is to trust in the sovereignty and providence of God. This can only happen if a person is a born again Christian who has a biblical worldview. without a biblical worldview, we will always be frustrated and contentment will elude us.

In this chapter, Solomon gives us some clarity how a biblical worldview will lead us to contentment and peace.
