How should Christ followers interact with the world?

Have you ever noticed how fast gossip spreads? Have you ever noticed that most of the news that is reported in the newspaper, on the internet, or on the networks and cable are negative stories? Have you noticed the campaign tv ads from both parties just attach one another? Do you know, as Christ followers, you have Christ’s permission to be His ambassadors to bring the only message of hope to a hurting and broken world?

People, our families and friends, need to hear and see that God love them! The proof of God’s love is the cross of Christ.

We are to go on the basis of Jesus’ authority/power
Jesus was give all authority in heaven and earth by His Father
Jesus conquered and defeated sin, Satan, and death
Jesus has the authority to give us our marching orders
We are to go and make disciples
We are to go to all without prejudice
We are to lovingly proclaim the gospel when we earn a hearing
We are to baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
We need to model and teach them obedience the Word of God
We are to go with Christ
God is the evangelist
The Holy Spirit is the one who opens hearts and enables people to respond to the gospel
We are to encourage and mentor people in their walk with Christ.

Build relationships with people and show them that you care for them with the love of Christ?
Build relationships with people so that you might earn their permission to hear about God’s love for them and the cross of Christ?
