There are times in our lives where we want to experience God’s promises earlier than God intends for us to experience them.  There are also times where we try to “help” God along and stop trusting in God’s timing, creating havoc in our lives and the lives of the people closest to us. Pastor Lou shows us an example of this happening in the lives Isaac, Rebekah, Jacob and Esau.  We see how lies, deceit, anger and revenge result from each person’s part in trying to “help” God.  As we look at this example, Pastor Lou provides a warning not to judge these people, but instead offers a challenge for us: Count how many times this week you make excuses for not doing things God’s way.
