Do You Want to See God’s Glory?
Bible Text: Leviticus 9 | Preacher: Rev. Dr. Lou Saldiveri | Series: Sunday Morning Worship
— Pastor Lou’s Notes —
Intro: One of the major mistakes you and I can make is approaching God with an irreverent attitude. You ask, what is an irreverent attitude? Let me ask for some examples of irreverent attitudes with which we come before God?
First, God is not an entertainer who needs to entertain us. Second, God is not an old man in a rocking chair upstairs. Third, He is not obligated to do what we want him to do. Fourth, He is not a game show host. Leviticus 9 shows us that if we desire to see God reveal his glory, you and I must approach Him with an attitude of reverence and fear. The bottom line is the God reveals His glory when we are lovingly obedient to Him.
Leviticus 9 show us that loving obedience is necessary if we want to see God reveal His glory.
1. We Need to Consecrate Ourselves
1. Confess our sin and desire repentance
2. Affirm our dedication to God
3. Fellowship with God
4. Serve God and others
5. Bless others
2. We Need to Have Continuing Fear and Reverence
1. We need to shout for joy
2. We need to fall face down
