Bible Text: Mark 1:14-15 | Preacher: Rev. Dr. Lou Saldiveri | Series: Sunday Morning Worship | “Sharing the Gospel in a Fast Changing World” Part 3 Mark 1:14-15

Intro: Many people today, both young and old are looking to Google or You Tube to ask questions and find answers to make sense of this complicated world. There may be some good information on the net, but we know there is a lot of bad information on the net. We also need to know that information you and I ultimately take in will ultimately form our worldview. If we are not grounded in a Biblical worldview, we will not be able to discern what information and views are good or bad. But the reality is that the internet, talk shows, and peers are where a great many people are looking to get answers to the issues of life. Life can be full of stress, anxiety, doubts, and more.

So, how do you and I minister the gospel in such a fast changing world? Rapid changes and information overflow generally can produce low levels of anxiety that can progress to high levels of anxiety. This type of environment can result in a what some writers call “paralysis by analysis”.

Jesus offers a real and lasting peace in this fast changing world. It is found in a simple statement in Mark 1, Jesus say, “Repent and believe, for the Kingdom of God is near!”. There are several profound truths to discover in these two verses that apply to our daily lives.

2. Parents, learn to ask the right questions
1. Awareness
2. Age appropriate conversations

3. We Need to Live With Wisdom

1. Live according to faith and a biblical worldview

2. Engage in conversations

3. Be willing to do the hard work

Closing: So, with God’s help, are we up to the task at hand? Are you and I willing to believe by faith and obedience that the kingdom living here and now is much more rewarding than submitting to the world’s system? It is time to come around the Lord’s Table…
